Hi guys, I sell in Europe with a VAT number, and as soon as I wanted to start selling something in Germany, I uploaded a few products (which never sold) and shortly afterward I received this message from eBay...
Dear (Name of my store), We work closely with the German tax authorities to ensure our sellers comply with VAT obligations. Your information, including your VAT number, does not match that held by the German tax authorities, as required by §22f UStG (German VAT Code).
For this reason, we have applied the following restrictions to your eBay account:
- You cannot create new listings on ebay.de
- You cannot create new listings that specify Germany as the location of the item
- All current or pending listings on ebay.de or that specify Germany as the location of the item have been removed
- All current listings on other eBay sites will not be displayed to buyers in Germany. Note: These restrictions do not apply to sales concluded outside of Germany.
To remove these restrictions, please send us your information, including your valid German VAT ID number, as required by Section 22f UStG. You are required to provide us with your German VAT ID number no later than July 1, 2021.

Thank you,

Please do not reply directly to this message as it was sent from an address that doesn't accept incoming emails. When I log in to my account from the German domain, I get no errors or problems (obviously, I immediately deleted the listings).
However, I've noticed that in my country, where I usually sell, my sales have dropped significantly, and I'm not sure if that's the case or if it's just a coincidence. How can I check this situation to see if I've been shadowbanned or not, and how can I resolve it in case i'am?
