It's not that it hasn't caught up (as it's already cataloged everything we've ever said on here), it's that it intentionally walks company lines and spouts out whatever is in the terms of service. Probably best to avoid AI for advice on anything like this.
On my UK accounts, I work with 100% mismatching names.
160+ accounts, and NOT ONE has matching names bank account linked.
Some already 8+ years old, changed bank accounts 2 - 3 times over the years(still not matching the eBay account's names).
Never had issues whatsoever.

Speaking from my own experience with MISMATCH bank account use on eb.ca, you won't have an issue.
You can change it but I would recommend using a cc to pay for the sale fees - don't upload funds from the bank, just to be safe
Do any of ebay.ca ebay.co.uk sellers have agreed to ebay bank mandate?
Here in EU ebay users with bank acc in SEPA Countries need to agree with the ebay bank mandate which essentially means the seller gives the power to ebay to withdraw amounts. That mandate needs to have the correct acc name in order to get through with the Bank. But ebay wont let you enter the name, they instead enter it as is in your acc. info.
That mandate is the reason of how they withdraw the €0.01 after the deposit it in your acc. If the Bank wont accept it because it has different name then the microdeposit amount withdraw cannot happen therefore i believe ebay wont accept it as a payout acc.
Anyone with a mandate on a different name that got to link that acc. for payouts? And how did that happened? Suggestions?
