Default Erratic sales

Anyone else experiencing erratic sales where one week buyers swarm then all of a sudden the next week they all want to return everything and no sales at all? I believe it has been this way since the covid issue...

sales venues are known to rotate seller accounts, but these days retail sales is pretty much dead unless you are giving away your merchandise.
why are they returning their purchase, what reason did they give you?

It's been holding pretty steady for me.

Sounds like it has something to do with what you're selling. If anything, buyers have become more used to using the returns process since covid.

It seems EBay does keep track of buyer returns and disputes and a message could pop up and say you have been returning too many items lately !

Yeah they've been penalizing sellers for having too high of a return rate for years.

It turns buyers off of wanting to use the platform if they're repeatedly disappointed with things they bought and have to send them back. Even if free returns are offered it's just a hassle to go through and people would rather not do it.

No,the message pops up for the buyer, not the seller, when the buyer wants to file dispute so he can return the item.

No, eBay has been charging higher final value fees to sellers with high return rates for several years now.

The things I say are always from the perspective of the seller.

eBay doesn't allow dropshippers, lol. They've been steadily wiping them off the platform for a while now.

It is not dropshipping,it is retail arbitrage-taking customer money and use it to purchase from another RETAILER and have that RETAILER ship the item is retail arbitrage per Ebay policy.
Dropshipping is asking your wholesaler/distributor or manufacturer to ship the goods direct to your customer eg a server,an oil rig,a tractor,an airplane/ or made to order shipment.
All my recent orders of brand new items I placed on Ebay come from WMT.
So when I leave feedback,I thank WMT for doing a good job.

What you're describing is the definition of dropshipping.

I sell my items for retail prices so what makes me not a RETAILER? What matters to eBay and other platforms is that the seller is filling their own orders, so they're able to give support if something goes wrong. They know that dropshippers will just try to pass the buck and that's not good enough for the standards they've set.

WMt is a retailer.
You are also a retailer
According to Ebay, You the retailor is taking customer money and place an order with another Retailer.
thats retail arbitrage.
You can argue with Ebay .

Nah I'm actually fine with eBay and the changes they've made.
It's like they actually listened to the things people here complained about for years. We are the change we wanted to see.

haha, that's not really a thing. I buy stuff on eBay all the time. I've never got a dropship order from walmart.

Do you have some kind of anti ebay agenda?
