Default Any way around Papyal $500/month withdrawal limit w/out providing SS or CC?

I just got back on eBay. I linked a banking card to Paypal and my account is verified..great and all, but now that I'm ready to go..I made my first sale and noticed that Paypal has a $500/month withdrawal limit and wants my CC or SS.

Well, I don't have a SS to give them and just plain don't want to. I don't trust them...they are thieves, but eBay is a way for me to make some ends meet for my family...so I have no choice.
When I went to verify the card, I realized it's just a banking card...so that's not going to work. Is there anyway around this? I'm so irritated right now. Paypal is worse than a bank..who do they think they are?
I wanted to link another checkout system to my eBay..but eBay doesn't seem to allow too many...I have heard of moneybookers..but I'm wondering if it's the same thing and if they will ask me for the same info.

Bottom line..I just need a way to sell less than $10k/month on eBay (much less) and be able to take out more than $500..without giving out all my personal info. Is there a way around it? Gonna search the forum some more..I heard that they are now limiting accounts that use virtual credit cards.

Is there any hope if I use PROPAY, PAYMATE, OR MONEYBOOKERS?...or are they just as bad as Paypal? Advice? What about a merchant account? What is that?

Welcome to the forum.

You've other choices than paypal. Even with paypal you have choices.
You mentioned moneybrokers and there are other merchant accounts. All require personal information to be given to create accounts.
You cant talk about making $10,000 or less monthly without understanding you are in the world pf ecommerce. That means giving ID.
Paymate is good. Depends on what you sell and the basis for such a dislike of paypal.

Paymate is a great option. The only downside is that it can take up to a week and half for the money to actually land in your bank account.

Thanks...why would paymate be better than paypal? Do you have to give your SS and CC?

Well, I'm not really profiting more than 4k per month...so that's why I said 10k. I sell high fashion jewelry and cosmetics. Crafts...handmade stuff. Usually it's only 2k per month profit..I can't have an account that only lets me take out $500 of that :(.

BTW I don't mind giving personal info..just not my CC and SS. These places aren't banks and I don't feel it's appropriate for them to require so much.

You're not wrong. They are not a bank. But they are taking money from one source and giving it to you. So they need to protect themselves as well. SS is one thing, if uncomfortable with that its understandable. But you cant even give them a credit card and you still expect them to collect $1000s and just hand it over to you in good faith? Its asking a bit much.

If you don't trust them, that's fair enough. But you either deal with them on their terms, or you don't. Maybe a merchant account from your own bank would make you more comfortable. Better control and fees for sure.

You'd think that by linking my banking information that it'd be enough. I just know Paypal is not trustworthy...frozen and stolen too much money from people I know...1/2 had it coming, but the other 1/2 truly didn't.
I had no idea you can make a merchant account through your bank...how does that work?

Use a VCC to verify it and lift the limits, it costs $10-15, check the account selling section to find a seller

Just call your bank. Tell them your business, what you want to do, amount of sales, etc. They will help you out.

Well it's not like a real business..it's just little ol' me selling cosmetics that I make..paintings..jewelry I make...so it's not even really like an actual legit business I guess...

I heard a VCC will have Paypal ban you....? Virtual Credit Card right?

There are ones that seem to work, that's why I would check with some of the members here that sell them. I still know of a giftcard that works to register an ebay account although I haven't tried in a month or so...was working the last time I tried when others that had worked no longer did.

Most VCC's still work fine, I'm using gift cards that you buy in the store.

can you sell by using paymate only? and skipping paypal completely?

the ss issue will be very very hard if not impossible to get around, assuming you have your real ss associated with a suspended past account.I called one time and told them i hadnt used my name on anything in 10 years because i got tired of the system and they let it go but i think they have had a no tolerance policy since then.

As far as the credit card goes that is the easiest thing,i know there are other ways but if you goto walmart and put 20 dollars on there prepaid card, you register it online with someones real info, maybe even your info, you will need an ss for this but it will allow you the option to get a second card which you can put in any name you want.Paypal will accept this
