american express gift card

Hello
I got a AMEX gift card as a gift. the person who gave it to me already registered it under my real name. Can ebay or paypal see this? If i use a **** name for ebay and paypal will that cause a conflict since my real name was used to register the card?
the reason i ask is I dont want to spend 3.95 on a new card, but i will if i have to. should i go ahead and use this card or buy a new one and register it under my future ebay name?

Gift cards can be used under different name and such - just make sure your zip code matches the AMEX gift card registration or it might fail.
