Angry A threat for my new account (Amazon)

Hello,

My seller's account is just a few days away from walking out of the 30 days review period.

I've got 100% feedback. However, I sold to a used DVD to someone who didn't like the DVD and asked to return and get a refund.

I promptly emailed her back saying, sure ship it back and I give you full refund.

I was wondering if I did refund her then my performance will be dragged down even this is the only one I had to refund.

Just wonder if there is any way I can work things out and get pass the 30 days review.
I only have a few days away, but this **** happened, what should I do?

Please help me out here.

appreciate it.

Refund it. It's best to just refund, lost money and keep your reputation and account

You did the right thing. Taking a return is not bad, it shows you are looking out to keep a customer happy. If half your stuff was coming back that would be one thing, but you are ok here

Thanks for everybody's response here:-)

If I remember correctly, amazon measure seller's return rate.

if I get this item returned and I refund the buyer, my return rate will be about 5% based on the volume I sold so far, would that trigger a review from amazon?

this is a real account, my only account there.

I can't say for sure (Amazon is a little more mysterious than eBay) but I don't think they will hold it against you this early in the game. If your SUSTAINED retrun rate were that high, then I would be worried.

The first time I was selling on Amazon I had my 8th order returned. I was also worried. But they never said anything about it. It was a DVD box set. The return reason was that it was purchased as a gift, but the recipient already had one. So, that was not like a complaint about a defective or counterfeit product.

Unless the buyer has accused you of selling a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or a defective product, I wouldn't worry too much. And even if defective, it WAS listed as used, after all.

With Amazon there is no 100% certainty, but you should be OK.

Send them a cheque, dont refund using Amazon. Then Amazon wont even have a record of it being a refund, but more importantly your seller stats will be 100%.

And when he says, i dont received the check and opened a A-Z Claim?

Then he can screw you twice?!

I would think about that!

what about a cashier's check? send with tracking number?

I can't believe someone kept DVD for a week then wanted to return.

I can see why we are here to help each other out.

Amazon says the money must transfered through their Payment System.

Or we are responsible for all Fees and Charges!

For items costing $100 dollars or more I refund through amazon. All orders less that amount I let customer know I will send money order. That has happened about a dozen times or so the last year with no problems.
