US Bank account for UK Amazon

So, i hear that it is now possible to register a US bank account on a UK Amazon account , since UK bank accounts are so hard to come by , it could be a good idea to use a US bank account in conjuction with a UK Amazon account .

First i need to know how difficult it is to get a US bank account , here in the UK we have passport numbers or national insurance numbers , rather than the us equivilent od SSN's ,

1: Is it possible for a UK Resident to open a US bank account ?
2: If yes to the above , then how would i withdraw funds from the US account ?.....
A money transfer to a UK account perhaps ?
3: If yes to both of the above , then what would be the easiest US bank accounts for a UK resident to open ?

a) yes its possible for a EU-Resident, but its not easy.

U need a ITIN, a SSN is impossible without a good VISA.

So ok, u can get a ITIN from the IRS, it takes 2-3 month.

b) the best is to use BOA and their Debit Card, go to a UK ATM and withdraw the money.

So the steps are:

Try to get a ITIN (check irs.gov) their are all applications and what u need to do.

Then when u have the ITIN go to bankofamerica.com and open the account, make sure, u have a US Adress.

When u have the Debit Card u can withdraw the money from all your accounts.
