Stealth account - selling items that you sold before

Ok i'm listing a few new items on my stealth account. I want to sell some of the stock I have lying around the house, the thing is that I was selling this stock on my banned account and bought some from Ebay too.

Is it likely that Ebay will notice that 2 people in the same street with almost the same name have been selling the same product, or am getting too paranoid?

I realise that if I started selling exactly the same as before that would be pretty suss, but i'm thinking about just the odd item.

Same street? Same name? What's the point of going stealth? Hope you changed IP at least...

Yes they will notice if they do decide to dig into the account - you need to really change things up.

What he said. using some common sense here think about what you are asking... Of course this sounds shady. Same Street , Same stock. If I were paypal I would ban, limit and perma ban this.... lol

Use a different neighbouring city, street addy whatnot and your fine. Ive sold the same items to build feedback between accounts but there is NO similarities between em other then province/country

Well I used a variation of my real name. I took someone's opinion on here for using a neighbour's address.

What kind of address to use seems to be a grey area, many people on here seem to have different opinions, so who know's what the right answer is.

If I change my address now, it will probably bring my account under close scrutiny and could be worse?.

Yes, changes done to your acc can raise a flag. You just never know with PP and eB.
have you gotten the stealth guide yet? If you did, I suggest you follow what it says more than what people here say, THEN when you have questions not in the guide, you can ask.

If you haven't gotten it yet, I strongly suggest you do. It's more than worth it. And infact, the only eBook out there that actually works.
Trust me, you won't see a worse skeptic than me when it comes to eBooks.

I do have the ebook, , there is no mention of not using neighbours addresses as far as I can see, so I AM asking.

IMO a bad idea should anything ever go wrong...and we are all here because at one time or another
SOMETHING WENT WRONG!

Better to use a made up name and a house number between your two neighbors...i.e. if the houses are numbered 2436 and 2440, use 2438...has always worked for me

i'm new on here & this is my 1st post. i've got the stealth guide & read it. it recommends to open various accounts on your computer which is fine but when you do this it automatically changes your ip addy when logging in so my question is do you have to still change my ip addy the way it says in the book or is just setting up various accounts on your computer ok, cheers. i'm also ging to be selling the same stuff i got banned for

p.s. i find the book very interesting but also i can't figure out the new bank, address & new name thing. just bamboozling me but i am from the Uk so enuf said lol.

You may have taken an opinion given about the name variation AND a neighbour's address. But I bet any money you did NOT say you were going to sell the same items as before, did you?
This has well and truly created the danger of LINKING

You got suspended and have needed to become a stealth person....can you see any merit in doing what you did? Do tell me I'm most interested

Well the point is i'm asking about listing same items as before, and now I know not to do it, so is that the only danger of using a neighbours addresss?. Returns isn't a problem for me as I email them shipping labels

2 seperate issues - regardless of what you sell, I seem to remember another thread of yours about this - and we said dont use a neighbours address, especially with a name similar to your own.......it could bite you if something goes wrong. If someone used MY address eg a neighbour did, I would call the police on them.

selling same stuff might be ok, but using a neighbours address isnt, you are not doing it for returns, thinking they will hand items over to you?? so whats the point of the address then, is it for the location letter?

I have found it better to be a brand new stealth person.

That means a new name, a new address not associated with an old suspended account. Means extra work but it reduces the chances of problems.

Buyers have been known to advise ebay/paypal of address differences on shipping labels. That's not advisable.

Selling items from the old account is another potential problem.

These are basics that you need to understand to be successful in stealth

Well my plan is to just use this account with my neighbours address for next couple of weeks until I sell what I need to, then create new stealths, because at the moment I only have one stealth.

I doubt buyers would care about return address with me because i'm sending them a shipping label and the courier picks it up from their door for free

I have all fresh details, I followed stealth and used 'any old address' as the book suggested

You should really have more than one stealth account if you plan to stick around.

Get your head down now and make 5 more before your current dies. Don't wait until it gets limited then you'll have no accounts too fall back on

Thats true did you not open enough on trip to the uk last time ? If you are stuck for banks i can PM you a few that you can apply for from overseas to your uk address. Thats if you have someone in the uk who can send you your cards/accounts #'s etc

Nope didn't have the chance. I should be ok for banks for now, I have an Abbey account, and I believe I can just call them up and get extra accounts.I hope to go home soon and will open up a few more.Thanks.

Wanted to fire up this thread again.

When my legit Ebay account got suspended I had an inventory of close to 1000 products. if I start selling just one of those products again, am I likely to be spotted?

I mean the item I want to sell is fairly niche, and i've sold about 10 units previously

Just make sure to change ip address, all new registration info, change pics and descriptions and you should be fine.

I have no problems with adding all the addresses but here in canada where I live it is mainly PO box and no streets. I also have no problem using different addresses and I read the book (well the older version). How do I get items shipped to me my real address? No problem with the name here I am getting inventive. but things have gone wrong in the past some times with the shipping address. and nobody wants to ship to a non verified address
