Default Any GOOD UK providers?

Ive tried a couple now to no sucess its very annoying having to go through the whole signup process for it not to work.

Are there any cheapish ones in the UK use that work well for other people that i could give a go?

thanks

@macallister78, ive read a lot about soho66 recently on here, and a lot of people recommend them, but what area are you in? big city? small town? and how recently did you last use them?

i havent used them yet (or any voip service for that matter) but ive seen a few posts from people saying that standard voip numbers are too vague now (i.e. just having the area code match the address you give ebay and pp) and that you need to have at least the first couple of digits of the main body of the number match the address too.

for the account im about to open, the address i will register (that i have access to) has an area code of 01462 and the next two numbers are 48 for that street, but soho66 can only offer numbers from 01462 60..... and upwards. Have you had any issue with this?

Cheers!

i just bought it, used to routing wizard to make it forward the number to mine, and nothing happens when i try to get ebay to ring it.

is there anything else i needed to do in particular or does it just not work?

Hi, get a Skype account and number. It's pretty cheap and you can use it to verify eBay. You can even make the number you bought show up as the caller ID. Good luck!

im not sure but i reckon with skype your treading on thin ice

With Soho, i use the routing wizard and divert to my mobile, make sure you add the number and the times are set correctly to receive the call.

If you having trouble just play with the setting and keep ringing until your mobile rings and you good to go .

i also leave it a day before using the number .

They don't anymore. They sold it back in 09. But I imagine as part of the sale, they have some agreement to share info...I dont know.
