paypal account linked??? never had paypal

HEy guys

Now after i cleared up the dhgate problem etc.. paypal says now i am linked to a previous account that owes 430.00.


well i am using all real info.. and i know for certain i have never had another paypal.

they said sorry.. my question is, if i pay that outstanding balance will they release mine like they told me on the phone or are they bull****ting me?

I think is BS..

Example: Would you lend you friend that owes you $100 dollars for the pasts few months another $100 dollars if he tells you he will pay you back the $200 dollar by the end of the week? I know i wouldn't

DEFINTE BS! They will take your $430 and then send you the oh so scripted we no longer wish to do business with you letter. If you truely never had a paypal account, I think it is time for you to get a credit report on yourself and make sure there is nothing on there that shouldnt be...I would tell paypal that you never had a paypal account and need to research this further in order to see if your identiy had been stolen and try and find out if they will give you a date as to when the account was established/kicked to the curb. Not that doing that will help you keep that paypal or the alike, but it wouldnt hurt asking to find out if your identity has indeed been stolen! Good Luck!

Probably somebody used your home address and or last name on that address to open a stealth paypal and ebay account and that got you linked. or if you rent or just bought the home and the last tenants had a paypal account that also got you linked.

Heck when G Bush was president his paypal account got limited because someone with that address used paypal to pay for porn and he got the payment stopped, He bought a guitar btw. I think it might have been Clinton who paid for porn lol.

The BIGGEST pile of bs being given to you. Do not fall for that.
Pay attention to what needhelplease said. Do that credit report for your own peace of mind.
Get back to paypal & get as much info you can about this other account.( Ensure you get the name of the staff person.) You need to disprove their claim
Be prepared for paypal to be nasty....

Got Credit Report offline, There was not anything unusual on it..


All paypal does is say......... IT is more then an ip address that has you linked.


and said I would start by emailing.. dggsgrytg2aol.com or whatever the email address was.. Yes i emailed it.

but paypal wont tell me anymore except that account i am linked to owes money and until it is paid i m limited

The guys name is Jason and he said there is nothing more we can do, the evidence is too strong

Phone the FBI and ask them to look into it, Identity theft is a crime and that seems to be who deals with it in the US.

I would love to hear that conversation with a paypal employee.

Forget that account, it is now gone....get the stealth guide and get back on! You still might want to place some sort of complaint with the 3 credit bureaus in the event it hasnt been put on your credit report YET.....but move on...so many of us have....create a stealth paypal/ebay and you will be good to go. It is I'm affraid. You can try fight and you never know. But don't pay one bloody penny. Even if you really did owe it, all they will do is take the money and run. You will never get account back that way. Only way is to prove they are wrong. I've never heard of anyone successfully doing that sadly.

Doesn't mean it cant be done. But it would be a long battle. When paypal thinks you are guilty of something they really cant be bothered to consider you are not.

But this has to happen a ton. So fight on and hope for the best. But again, not one red cent gets paid. They will try and sucker you into thinking it may just be worth it to pay and move on. When you pay they will toss you to the curb 100%
