Sky router chaning IP but Mac address stays same??

Hi,

I currently use a Sky Sagem Router and I can change the IP address by resetting the router, however the MAC address always stays the same as this is built into the device from factory.

If my IP address is different but my MAC address remains the same, will they link me?

No they will not. Mac adress is your local address they cannot see that only if you are on the same subnetwork as they. So if you are working at ebay for instance and accessing it from your work-pc ..
