Default How much (max) should we have in paypal?

Hi everyone

I was just wondering what is the most you guys have in a stealth pp at one time? As i still have the 21 day hold in place, and am actively selling and withdrawing money slowly. Obviously the amount is growing faster than it is going down - as not everyone leaves feedback as quickly as we'd like!

I dont like the fact that i have over £2000 in my pp that is just siting there and i cannot withdraw it!

not a lot you can do other than opening more accounts by the sounds of it.

i also noticed that the account I have with twenty one day holds does seem to take longer than the others to get feedback, but no idea why that is happening.

£2000 in a stealth paypal? Giz me smelling salts I might faint.

Bit late now but ideally you should never have more than £400. Or, never have more than you can afford to wait to get out if limited.

If you are doing such good business (& congrats to you), be ready for what paypal might do. Depedning on your category they might review you, even after giving 21 day holds.
How old is the account?

I try to have less than $400, usually around half of that is still pending anyway.

The account is only about 6 weeks old (!!!), and I know what your all going to say! But, i do have another 4 stealth accounts and all have around £600 ish in each. This 21 day hold thing is really holding me up big time! By the time i get payment holds released, up to say £200, i then withdraw the £200, but as i am selling at the same time my balance is going up and up. Two ways to look at it, its good because my sales are going strong (touch wood), but on the other hand it isnt a good idea to have so much tied up in a stealth pp!

I reckon i might have to stop selling temporarily till funds are all released. What do you all reckon?

I would reckon that if you are doing heavy business, go for a different payment processor. The way I operate is not relying on the funds in Paypal due to possible limitation at anytime. Otherwise, yes - ship and wait - keep a rolling balance of anywhere from 200-500.

Sure you can - check out merchant account websites and send an app. You don't need an eb ay store for it but you will have to try to push buyers to make payment outside pa yp al - that will take some communication skills.

Another aspect of this question is How much minimum should we have in PayPal.

It is always a Good Idea to keep a little over $100. in your PayPal account at all times for lasting accounts.

Just a tip for the other side of the coin.

£2000 is an amount I personally could never let PP have the responsibility of holding for me. No matter how well the accounts are created, as other have said PP are generally a law unto themselves and I would hate them to get this money for 180 days if worst case scenario.

The most I allow PP with 21 days holds is approximately £100 to £150. I know it is low, but it is the only way.
