l sold an item and posted it. The buyer has contacted me saying they haven't received it and has opened a paypal dispute. It wasn't sent registered post. If l tell paypal l posted it and provide them with the date will this be enough for them. How does this work in Australia?

if it was registered with signiture and such it will be more better to win the case, like this you are rare of winning, but go ahaead, prove everything that you shipped the item.

You need to have the proof required otherwise pa yp al will simply give you the heave ho and leave you footing the bill.

Thank you for your reply guys. From what l'm reading on the net l can make a claim with Australia post using a green form. l must have receipt for postage and l think it is only offered for the prepaid bags but not 100% sure on that. l will check with post office tomorrow.

l have resent other items out before and don't want to have to do that just because buyer opens a paypal dispute or says item not received. It's good to know Australia post does offer insurance of up to $50 on the prepaid bags.
