Default EMS.. has a parcel ever taken this long for you..? DHgate dispute?

I made a purchase in December from DHgate from a seller that i have used many times before and never had a problem with. The items were sent in two packages, one which i received 5 after shipping (this tracking number was not attached to the DHgate shipping info). The other was sent a day later and the status has been for weeks and is still currently this:

Status: Handed Over

Parcel tracks

Date Time Location Tracking Event

29-12-2010 18:52 Delivery Agent - BEIJING - PTT Forwarded for export
28-12-2010 19:47 Delivery Agent - CHINA Collected from customer

Now this has been over 30 days and i have never had a parcel take anywhere near this long. The tracking number for this parcel was the once attached to DHgate. I opened a dispute in DHgate and yesterday escalated it to a claim. Unfortunately i have left it too long to open a dispute in PP.

Has this ever happened to anybody else? Do you reckon hang on and wait or push with the dispute in DHgate?

Thankyou stealther's in advance!

I have had 4 packages arrive via EMS within the last month. All took approx 5 days to arrive.

It shouldn't take that long. I would open a dispute. Just remember that with the holiday going on DHGate customer service has limited hours right now.

sounds like a lost parcel to me. That tracking status normally means it has left china and is heading to the country of destination. But it looks like its been lost before it could be scanned to update the tracking. So i would open a dispute, you should get a refund and the seller should be able to sort out how to get their money back. End of the day, you paid for a item to be delivered to you and they have failed to do so. Should should be a easy dispute to win. Good Luck

I think you have 45 days to file dispute with PP on items not received... If so, not too late. I never hear about anyone received a "refund" from China. I hope I am wrong on this and you get your money back if package doesn't show up. It hasn't been 6 weeks yet..so there is still a chance...

Thanks for all the replies guys, i am afraid the 45 day time period in pp has lapsed the other day. I ordered the items on the 14th December but they were not despatched will a little while afterwards.

Has anybody been in the same situation and received a refund from DHgate? The total cost of the order was 500USD, but like i said half of the order has been received so the dispute is only over 250USD.

EMS can take a long time....sometimes you lose the package in the UK due to high alert for phake goods.
