Default wanting to list my very first item but am Wary.

wanting to ask for some advice from the more experience people here..I have a Buyer's account 18 feedback 2months old.. all in all in good standing with a "technically" incorrect name and address on file...I'm wanting to list one item being a laptop of high value will it work if i just started it low like 0.99cents with a reserve for 10days or will that trigger ebay to go nuts and suspend me for the 965th time?

I have already sold 3 laptops that were broken on ebay with no problems. I am getting ready to list a full operational laptop. What i always do is set no reserve 7 day auction starting at .99 cents. I have gotten well over $120 dollars for the broken ones. So iam sure the one you have will do just fine. I don't think ebay will say anything about you listing a laptop. If its considered a high risk item i would list it then not list anything for 30 days. What i have found, and this is from my own experience, you get more people interested in an item that started at .99 cents and towards then end they get into a bidding war. So far this as worked in my favor.

Good luck

@menaice, what is your experience with listing in terms of "Birthdate" of your account - do you sell right away? Buy then sell?

Your recent experience are well appreciated =)

I wait 4-6 days and during that 4-6 days i buy 10-20ish penny items. I wait about till the 8th day and list ONE ITEM AT .99 CENTS with no buy it now. By this time. i have 10-12 feedback. The item sells, when it sells i list it again for 3-5 days , sometimes i wait a day or 2 after a sale to list again, i mean why rush through 10 in 10 days when you have 30 days anyway to spread them out? It's stupid. Unless of course it's the end of the month, which i've done before and had no problems. I've had problems before and had to call in, so it is random.

The key to a good stealth is, to know the neighborhood and development information, THAT IS how they try to get you, all that stuff is easily found with google.Do your research. For a better Q&A call with Ebay

Naw i don't sell right away, i have purchased a few things that i actually wanted to have for myself.example (case logic cd/dvd case, electric razor, and raid controller card) I waited about 3 weeks before i listed my first item. I am still new to selling on ebay. Today my limit just got raised and i have not even had my account 3 whole months yet. They raised it to 100 items or 5k a month. So kinda happy about that
