I've just stupidly entered a old entropay card number linked to a old account to my new paypal account. It said that the card is already in use and i should enter another.
Does this now mean they are linked?

It CAN mean that you are linked. For example, especially with pa yp al, if you ever get limited they could ask for info from anything you have entered on that account.
Even this number and then your old account would be implicated. Best way to avoid this is to assume the worst and go brand new.
