Default My Name - or not?

When setting up accounts - can I use my real name again and again and again?

I have just set up a PisspoorPal act. I tried to lift the limits but they said my data did not match - not sure why that happened. They then asked for photo id and proof of address to lift limits. ID was no problem, address was slightly less easy but I have PS so that wasn't too hard to do. I am waiting to see what the outcome is now.

BUT

If I set up another account, and they ask for ID again - will there not be some alarm bells ringing when I send the same ID?

It says in the guide I can't be linked by name alone - but if I am setting up account with the same name and DOB but different addresses etc. surely there will be some flags raised. My name, is not so common too.

I don't have the option of using other family members or friends, most are users, or don't agree with stealth.

Anyone ever used a, how can I put it, "homemade" ID successfully?

If you wish to use your name, solid suggestion would be to vary up spelling and flip names here and there.

If your name is rare, different or more unique, then it could raise quicker conerns with PP if you keep using it.

If your name is very generic like John Smith, they will have less to go on.

Also, I would not ever put the same DOB with the name over and over again, as this becomes a way they could track you easier and do a link on your accounts.

Common sense on that one. Good luck.

But if I use different DOB's - surely I will have problems with ID. Cos all my photo ID shows DOB...

No offence, but is it likely that a user on PP will have for example:

Account 1: Name: John Smith, DOB : 01/01/1981
Account 2: Name: John Smith, DOB : 01/01/1981
Account 3: Name: John Smith, DOB : 01/01/1981
Account 4: Name: John Smith, DOB : 01/01/1981
Account 5: Name: John Smith, DOB : 01/01/1981

Now, it don't take a rocket science degree to work out that "maybe" there could be the "slightest" of links between accounts?

I could be wrong () ... rsot what do you think?

You can only submit one photo ID to PP in your real details the once anyway. After that, it just becomes obvious again.

I always make my date of birth as like a 60 year old grandpa. Search stuff for grandkids and what not. Thats got to look low risk!

...I have to use my photo ID, I have no other options of using other peoples.

I reckon I could change text with PS like DOB and address but photos, with holograms and all that crap... nah - I'm not that good.

I reckon I'm gonna get pulled everytime I make new accounts cos I'm basing them in the UK but I'm based in China.

Anyone ever submitted a PS'ed ID successfully?

ebay king used different date of birth never used your same birth date because it will limited you straightway and for showing id all i can say is if you do get limited it just move on and take it on the chin and opened a other one account and hope for the best just dont used your same date of birth then everything would be fine

Account 1: Name: John Smith, DOB : 18/01/1981
Account 2: Name: John Smith, DOB : 23/05/1976
Account 2: Name: Johnny Smith, DOB 01/01/1981

and so on
