PayPal limited - sister used my paypal email

Good news of the ebay side, my account selling restriction has finally been removed nearly 9 months after the restriction was put in place last march, so thats good news - its a very old account close to 12 years old!

PROBLEM - my sister was selling on ebay and her paypal account got limited, so i let her use my paypal email address to receive payments, next day i checked my email to realise my paypal account has been limited - so i rang paypal and they said have i had a previous paypal account before - told them cant remember, this is the only one i have, they said there is a link with another account as some details are similar

I think by letting my sister use my email address to place inside her ebay listing to send paypal payments to has limited my paypal account

i just got my 12 year ebay acc back and want to start selling on that, it has about 1560 feedback positive

paypal said that my sister has to ring them and try to sort of the issues on her account

is there anyway that i can get paypal to remove the limitation on my account - what if i say some got access to my paypal email address or shall i tell me sister to ring paypal

is there anyway at all that i can sell on my ebay account or try to get the limitation lifted?

btw sister i did not give my sister my paypal logins - she only typed my paypal email address in her auction listing thats all

she was using the house ip - o2 and i always use tmobile which gives me a different ip - so its not on the ip they have linked the account

my sisters ebay is working fine, but her paypal is limited as well, anyone please able to help me get this sorted

the limitation may not be from the IP, it may be caused by her using a different paypal with her ebay. why was she using your paypal, was she banned from paypal? if so that would send up huge red flags.

this paypal is now probably done. never let anyone "borrow" your info, its just as bad as using your mom's/sister's/hairdressers info to create an account. if the paypal and ebay info dont match, its going to be an issue

you have been around long enough to know how paypal work, you can try and give them all the info you gave us and hope for the best, bottom line is they do not know for sure you are same person as you sister, plus they do not really care anyway, as you are closely tied and practically the same person to them....

her paypal was limited and she wanted to sell some stuff, at the time my 12 year old account was limited from selling (its now o.k to sell, but now my paypal is limited)

so i just told her what my paypal email address was and she typed that in her ebay listing and when item got sold and payment received, my paypal got limited, very very silly mistake on my part

she never logged into my paypal she only used the email address in her listing page, i really need my paypal unlimited, what if i say someone got access to my account without my permission?

In case if you still don't get it, Paypal didn't ultimately limit you because your sister used it with her ebay account, it's because they were able to link the account with one that isn't in good standing from the past. It doesn't matter what you say to the reps, it's not going to help you. According to the ToS, you are not permitted to use Paypal again anyways if you don't resolve your issues or became permanently limited.

Any LINK (email/address/bank details/ip addresses/names) to ANOTHER SUSPENDED, LIMITED or BANNED eBay/Payal account would also put at risk that other eBay/Paypal account.

I am not sure what the solution would be to this beyond what BiN4RY/oompaloompa have advised you to do.
