just worked out a way of doing it for UK on tracked items only. Might work for other countries. It might be an idea for returns.....It is a pretty bad idea, but it works in theory, so shut it you haters when you reply.........
Put a real name, as you will might need ID, and fa ke business/house name, real street near you. Ask for tracking from seller, follow it to depot where they attempt and cannot deliver, sometimes you can have it re-routed to your real address online, but my personal favourite is online re-route, have it go to local post office (Royal mail does this) pay a surcharge and pick it up, I tried it, I said I did not have 'while you were out card', I showed them print-off of re-route online to post office and they asked for ID - got package.
eg.
Mr Sucker M.C
Word up inc.
real st
real zip
You can thank me AFTER you get your parcels, as you will prob never see them again hehe....Happy christmas...........xxx

not bad for something i have been doing years and even posted on the forum a last few months.
Great mind and all that.
you dont even have to use your real name can be stealth first name with same inital, why get it routed to the p.o

ok, no did not see you post it - yeh it had occurred to me before, but never actually done it til this christmas-time, anyway I got all the kudos for it, so thats what counts...
lots of little stocking fillers got bought from some accs and all of them were ok.....would never buy anything major this way though......
No, I did not say to get it routed to p.o, it can go to real address, I mean there are issues actually re the address you get it sent to, ie on tracking it will sometimes say postcode with your signature, no biggie but, to be on safe side stealth address on your street is a good idea....
stealth name with same initial? maybe for address re-route but to pick up, think real surname and real initial will suffice as ID is sometimes asked for, not always....

in the u.k i either collect from p.o depot with the same card and just say a card/note wasn't left.
Private company i just leave it a couple of days and phone then get it routed to another address and show them my card for ID if asked.
Never ever once had a problem and i have made some large purchase like this

I always found it surprising that re-route is even allowed, by rights the package should go to where sender says, unless sender says different via some kind of secure log-in or password or something..anyway.....
suppose it could be a cash-out method, ie buying goods with major unverified acc monies, suppose worse that can happen is it is returned to a sender preferably in UK ......
Royal mail always always wants to see name on package matches name on card or ID at least initial and surname, easier for woman as you can say it is maiden...
all my suppliers send to real address, regardless of paypal address anyway....
its a good idea for feedback though, from experience, I think manual reviews look at purchases, when deciding whether to automatically lift limit without ID.

yer same with my suppliers too but i like to have loads of so called address for things comming into the country risky i know but never had a problem, ever.
Got to agree with the last comment, it is deffo good to make some purchases and get them sent to the registered address as such, i have also noticed when you get the ID Request in PP something has changed in the list, only the wording slightly to something like had something delivered, or items delivered, something to that effect so its been checked.

I'd have assumed that a seller will want to use the address in your PP or eB and giving them completely different details will risk their suspicion and potential reporting (they might feel you're about to make a false refund claim).
Entering any other details within the eB / PP in association with your stealth account would surely just flag your account, no?
Am I getting the wrong end of the stick here?
