Activity: 0% Longevity: 86% | | So, my business is over (setting up new account) So, ebay busted me and wont tell me why.
No reason what so ever, they took me down, suspended me without any warning. They send me a notice at midnight stating i need to send over some documents for verification, id, etc. I did this, then went to live chat and the kind lady informed me i would not get the account back as i have breached the 'abuse' policy of the ebay policy.
She would not tell me any more details...very nice.
My business is dead...it was running a good 2 years on stealth...I am now basically unemployed and depressed.
My only saving grace is that I remembered this afternoon I had another stealth account in the wings from 2009. This account has zero feedback and no activity.
Problem with it is phone number doesnt work anymore with soho and the bank account i used has been shut down as i didnt use it for a few years.
Right So, going forward I logged into the ebay and paypal with my mobile internet (new ip etc as my sky bb would not change ip)
I changed the phone number on ebay to a new number i purchased with soho.
That should be OK touch WOOD.
With regards to the bank accounts , i need to link the PP and ebay to a new fresh account....I applied to santander a few minutes ago, do you think this will be ok? or should i apply to a different bank.
One other thing chaps - what VCC company do you now use? i signed up with entropay early using my stealth details but they immediately sent me emails asking for verify docs etc (long winded)
Finally ,as my account is from 2009 do you think i will have any problems selling on the account?
Like i said im a biggish time seller, its my only income, work from home etc so need a shop running with couple of hundred items with various multiple choices on the items for people to purchase from. Please help a brother out - this forum is great - and i thank you all for that.
Amen, Thanks in advance.

If the account is 0 feedback and wasn't turned into a seller account when it was created, you will have selling limits on the account.
Regarding vcc, entropay is still fine. If you don't wish to do business with them, purchase a vcc from the sellers on here.

Out of interest, why did you only have one active eBay Stealth account if it is your main source of income?

Guys
Im not sure if it was a seller account when i registered in 2009.
All i know is that when i just went to list something it said i can list 5 items or 650£ per month what use is this? i might aswell jump off a bridge.
Will it ever be lifted? realistically i need unlimited tbf.
I dont know why i didnt create more stealth accounts, yes my fault, i shold have. Just never had the time to as wanted to concentrate on one account.
Im a dick.
No ebay would not go into any detail about my 'abuse' of the ebay terms and conditions policy etc. she said they cannot tell me. pathetic.

When you have verified your PP with a bank account you will be able to lift your limits to 100 items / £3500 per month easily which is a start, once you have a few stealth accounts with verified PP's to spread the sales around you could have a decent monthly selling limit, and if one gets taken down then it's not going to be such a major issue

I hate posts like this in more ways than one,
Really sorry, feel for you pal.
why on earth people put all there eggs in one basket is way beyond me,
i mean, all the effort people put in to making and maintaining there eby and PP accounts just to be shut down, i think most people get too comfy, have no scope passed eby/pp amazon or think what there making is good enough, when in actual fact they should be thinking how they can get away from them or at least to a point there income is not such a mojor factor in how you oparate or infact if you oparate.
Those selling sites should be extra revenue for your business not the MAIN form of income, it is also useful for getting and and expanding your customer base.
i cannot stress enough how much you should have your own website so when eby and pp do this kind of think it is a dent in your business not a write off.

That wouldn't be too bad if I had two+ accounts at once

Prob with your own site is that no one visits them! The world think eBay is the only buying option!
Anyway might be down the dole office soon. 'depressed' 'stressed'

Eh? You seem to have a slate missing mate, no offence like, but if you were making such blazingly great profits selling on ebay and you've already created stealth accounts before then why were you just using one account? I've been guilty of the same cardinal sin myself quite recently but there is no point getting depressed about it.
Get some new bank accounts set up, create some new ebay seller accounts and get some new paypal accounts verified and like other people have said spread your sales across these new stealth accounts until your selling limits are raised. I mean even £650 per month selling limits on one account is better than what you'd get paid on job seekers allowance.
I had the same problems with my VOIP phone no longer working, I think it was cos I'm now using mobile broadband, but thankfully you can now use a mobile phone number to verify your ebay account and I just use an old mobile phone with a SIM card I got for free from Tesco in it for each account.
So if making your money selling on ebay is your life then you cant afford not to work this out, and its not rocket science, you just have to get your head down and get on with it, its what we've all had to do and if you've set up a stealth account before then you're halfway there already. I hope it goes well for you mate, I really do.

What no one visits websites, are you kidding ?
every PP payment you have ever taken would be a potently customer for your website, so if you had built one two years ago I'm sure it would not be the same for you now
i mean if they have purchased something from you on eby and had a good service why wouldn't they visit your website especially when you can offer things cheaper than you can on eby.
I feel for you mate i really do but you need to change your attitude a little, F that depressed ****, get some gumption and fight back HARDER than before.
5 years ago i had a really nice life, own limited company. own websites, family, car, holidays, everything i needed.
2 years ago it all went wrong to the point i was sleeping in a tesco's car park in a 1.0 corsa for Christmas, i would probably be dead or or still homeless in some hostel if i didn't fight back
Its your life.
