Default Entropay - whats the score then? Does it still work?

Hi folks!

I keep hearing different things regarding Entropay everytime I look on here. I've just created my new Ebay / Paypal accounts and when I went to list my first auction its asking me to add the credit / debit card to pay ebay fees, now is Entropay no longer acceptable or what? I cant really afford to be spending £10 plus 4.95% fee on an Entropay card only to find it wont work, and then have to spend a similar amount with another VCC company. Has anyone used Entropay recently with any success? I used it just over 12 months ago for setting up a stealth account and it worked fine then, has something changed?

many thanks

Johnny

EP cannot be used like this in the UK. No idea about Estonia.

Does Estonia allow credit card withdrawal? I know of old posts last year where many European folx were having huge problems with the withdrawal but not with the confirmation.

I've a question about Entropay....

Is ANY info on the card seen by a merchant (not necessarily PP in this case)? I'm wondering if the account name you set up with it appears as the "Name on the card".

Or is the "name on the card" ENTROPAY USER (as the virtual card says)?

I was confused by this when I tried to make an ordinary payment online with a VCC - can't remember now if it went through ok. I didn't know what to put as the name on the card. I'm sure it says in Entropay's FAQs..

The name is IRRELEVANT - the name is NOT seen unless you tell the merchant what the name is.

SO: a card registered under the name of "Jomjarr Didnotsearchforum" can be used at a merchant under the name of "Johnny Buysalot" as long as the Entropay VCC is accepted as form of payment.

LOL..

Thanks for clearing that up.

In defence, I can search all I like in many forums like this (i.e. not about specific products) and success is so much is down to people's terminology and or info within off-topic comments and then burried 3 pages deep... that it's not that fruitful - can take 10 minutes reading a thread only to realise that it doesn't help.

So, I find most info out by browsing topics that just happen to mention something I'd like to know BUT then helpfully go into more detail than I thought I even needed.

Browsing around is the way to go and build up knowledge. Searching brings up yet more questions and sometimes confused info.

Be good if people every now and again just wrote a post with some valid search terms within a thread..

Users replying to the same question should not need to repeat with a full analysis siply because a user can not 'search' correctly.

if entropay want id. give it to them. no reason why you cant. the account will be in your real name so i dont see the problem.
