Entropay; how does it work?

I’ve been trawling through this forum & I have seen people mention gift cards (Entro pay) when it comes to verifying their eBay account.

1. Can someone please tell me why a card like this is used & not their own card?

2. And secondly when you buy one of these cards whose name do you put it in? The ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name you have entered in eBay or your own?

Sorry for all the questions but I want to do this right.

1) People use Entropay and not their own card because using Entropay allows you to keep your identity hidden. If you have already used your own card with eBay/PP and that account has been suspended/limited, any further use of that card will cause the account that your trying to use it with to become limited/suspended.

2) You sign up to Entropay using your real identity (you must do this). Then you create a virtual card with your eBay/PP account contact info.

My last entropay card I bought, isn't working on ebay. It's being rejected. :( Dunno why. I guess it came from a bad batch or something. :(
