Default Hit the £1900 limit and am now limited

hello just after some help.
I have have been selling on my brothers ebay and paypal account.
He never lets me on to his paypal account so i didnt realise that his limit was getting close.

Then the other day he told me that his paypal account has been limited because he has reached the £1900 limit,, He looking to getting the limit raised and unlimit the account but they want him in to register as a buisiness account.
He has had some money problems and has just started a IVA and doesnt want to risk registering as a sole trader. He is worried in case I cause problems for him with his IVA,.

There was around £200ish in the account and the ebay fee are due soon which he pays via paypal

what are my options?

If he wait for the 180 day will paypal then release the fund and send him the money?

Do you get any warning that you are coming close to the limit? i asked him but he said he hadnt recieved anything from paypal

If anyone can help i will be greatful

At the 1650/1900 point, PP seek VERIFICATION/CONFIRMATION of the PP A/C holder. I have NEVER come across a situation as described of PP ever requesting a seller to register as a business/trader simply because they've reached the 1650/1900 limit. Might there be another explanation here ??? I sense there is more to this

It is possible that any income can/might come to the notice of the IVA administrators (you have to inform them of ALL your income/means) & they may seek to readjust the IVA to reflect this extra income for the debts owed to the creditors.

At the 1650 mark, PP would have messaged the PP A/C holder, seeking the verification/confirmation of the PP A/C to get the limits raised beyond the 1900 limit.

It usually upto you to inform IVA, you sure eBay sent you a message regarding them?

"but they want him in to register as a buisiness account" you prob saw business account or something on eBay or Paypal, you don't actually have to register as a business to lift the limits.

I suggest you copy paste the message eBay sent you about this matter.
