I need some VPN help from those in-the-know

I have a very limited knowledge regarding VPN's and need some help. I'm not looking for a VPN for eBay/PayPal or Amazon.

I have a paid membership to MLB.com so I can watch my local team on my computer. But what I didn't know is that my team is blacked out because of contracts with local networks. I can watch all the other teams, unless of course they are playing my team, and I can watch my team if I happen to be in another state.

Anyway, I need a recommendation on preferably a free VPN that supports Java Script that will show I live in another state and isn't a blatant proxy.

So far I have tried to no avail...

I need a VPN for my Paid membership on MLB.com

So I can watch my local team. I can watch everything else (all other teams) but when the Diamondbacks play it is Blacked-Out do to my area.

That's why I need a VPN to show a different location.

Would not recommend free VPNs at all. They are slow and because they are not encrypted, hackers can sniff the data that's going in and out of your computer

I understand TMGT I don't know of any good VPN but I guess you could stream it as a last resort until you find that VPN good luck!

I steam whenever I can, but most of the time they don't include the Diamondbacks.

Today I learned how to input VPN IP addresses manually on Firefox. I tried about 10 of them without any success that would work with MLB.com, on the last one I picked up a virus and had to restore my computer.

I gave up trying to get this to work.

I just decided to call up Dish Network and order the additional channels. Sometimes the easiest solution is the Best solution even though it costs money.

But I did learn a lot about how Proxies/VPN's work (don't work)

You should be able to get the local channels for free with any tv.....its why they are blacked out cause they are free for the hometown market

I don't know how deep your loyalties run, but you may want to look into getting a slingbox, which is basically a personal VPN to the address of your choice.
