Dropshipping is something I have investigated in depth due to our own launch this weekend.
This is a conmans delight. Everyone wants to sell product they haven't paid for and at a first glance it looks and sounds a fantastic proposition. You cannot con an honest man but you can always take money from a greedy man.
Ask yourself this - why does everyone want to take a fee off of you to sell or register? The obvious answer is because you are not going to be giving them any money from sales so they will take it off of you upfront - simple isn't it?
There are without doubt true dropshippers out there but why would they deal with you? They don't know you, they have no idea if you are a crook or what you are. Why should they put money in your pocket?
From the dropshippers point of view it can be good business but they want to be sure that by dealing with you they are not going to get hurt in some way - what can you offer them?
We solved that conundrum by only talking to established people who we felt we could rely on.
I hope it works for you but in the main I have only heard bad experiences from people who have tried it |
