how do you know which shipping label is for which item?
so i know that many of you use paid shipping service like endicia.com or stamps.com, but i currently just use ebay for creating shipping label, i might go with those paid service when my sales volume goes up. anyway, my question is how do you know which shipping label is for which item when you created multiple shipping labels? when i print it on ebay the label doesn't print the item name or anything, so it sometimes gets me confused. any tip on this?

When I get my stock in I pack everything up and weigh it, write the name of the item and weight on the package. Then when looking through my items to ship emails I pull the item and write the buyers name on the package as well, then print the labels and slap em on over what i wrote down.
I'm sure there's more advanced ways of doing it like using an inventory numbering system but that way works simple enough for me.
In Gmail they usually send you a shipping notification that youve just printed something. you can just type the shipping number or the name that prints on the label. It will usually search all of your emails and show the emails corresponding to that item without having to log into ebay or such.
IE: Your item sold! - persons name/address/item/etc
I'm assuming you mean the PayPal Shipping Label tool? In the area where the buyer's name, address, city, state, etc... is entered in, there's a space for "Note:" ...write in there the item name or color or acronym that will help you remember which is which
