FBA fulfilment fees

I check the today the summery of the FBA sales and fees. Here is what I got
Sales +259.57
Promo Rebate -2.54 ( I have know idea what this is for)
Amazon fees -65.42


Does anyone else think that FBA is a little too high? And I'm being generous call it a "little too high"

It depends on the catetogy you sell in, weight of item and a lot of other things that comes into play. generally FBA is cheaper for me

category is CDs and Toys. Max weight is 6 oz... I honestly don't have anything crazy there.

actually there was some other fees. Total came down to 180 some dollars

If fees are 180, then your fees are 69%

Amazon fees are a complete rip off. On certain items they take up to 40% in fees leaving you with very little profits if any at all.

Gamefreak what is your average?

Mine is about 14% which is slightly lower ( by about 4-6% ) than when I ship the items myself...

I include my shipping in my fees and amazon only charges $1 per item plus weight. Small cheap items are NOT good for FBA. Small expensive items are though.

Of course its high but it is what Az has it at - your fees arent an exceptional case.
