Almost 7 days in customs, should I worry?

7 days in Chicago customs. All Vero items and about $1000 dollars worth. Should I worry yet? How should I go about this if it does get seized? I've had several packages in the past and all were delivered successfully, only 1 package stayed in customs like 4 days, then cleared. Do I still have a chance of getting it?

Edit: Forgot to mention it's EMS.

If DHL then it sounds like you lost it. Sorry if you did. Chalk it up and see if your supplier will replace it.

It's EMS and what if my supplier won't replace it? What steps do I take on getting my $1000 back?

I'm not sure about EMS but it's most likely the same. If your supplier won't replace it then I suggest you find a new supplier.

7 days is a bit soon. Panic time for me is 14 days or longer. Differs with each shipment.

If there are issues of seizure & an uncooperative seller, use of a credit card would aid funds recovery.

You shouldn't order so much at once but luckily it's not with DHL. Unless there's an update that specifically says it's been seized then there can't be anything bad yet. Maybe call USPS and ask what's going on? You wouldn't have to tell them what you ordered but even if they asked, you could just say it was pillows or something. They'll probably ask for your tracking # just to take a look at the progress themselves, but they couldn't help you with your package individually to speed it up...they'd probably give you some helpful information in general about why it might possibly be taking long.
