Activity: 0% Longevity: 76% | | Created new seller account - 0 items $0.00 this month WTF?!
Okay I recently tried opening a stealth account. Here's what I did:
- Created a fictious name
- used Virgin Broadband2go Dongle to login
- searched homes for sale (within 10 miles) for a legit real address
- used google voice for phone number
- used a registered simon giftcard
- And yes I separate all my seller accounts on windows xp. So each section has its own cookies, etc...
Now this is the first time trying to sell an item, using this account. After I linked my ebay and paypal address and verified everything, I try to sell a brand new deluxe tv remote control. Then BAM! "Sorry you can list up tp 0 item and $0.00 this month"
So far out of 5 accounts I created, two including this came out with a dud. When I try to sell anyways they want me to call and verify. What did I do wrong here?

Nothing that jumps out at me. It might be some quirky timing issue between eval periods. Do you get mc999 and call? What do they say?

I have had this happen before when my associated pp was not verified - can you recheck?

However there's one thing I left out....
When i registered my seller account on 2/18 I just did the phone verification only. When it was time to verify PP with a credit card (method of payment). I left that part out since I didnt have a giftcard with me on that particular day.
So today I went back 8 days later, to complete the "method of payment" part before I listed the auction. Then got this "0 item for $0.00" nonsense.
However I did that with a few other accounts and it turned out okay

I even made sure my ebay email address was already linked to my PP account before I decided to list an item. Just odd.
It could be:
1. The timing of the auction, I should list it earlier in the day I guess.
2. My registration method. I should verify both phone number and method of payment all on the same day.
3. Or the home address I used is probably existed in the ebay database, and names didn't match. So eBay got suspicious.

$0/0items indicates that the bots detected similarities to recently suspended (yours or others)
accounts during the initial setup. You need to change your template for account creation. This includes
PP and EBay.
Fix:
1. New IP provider - ditch Virgin mobile (or anything else with Sprint IP)
2. Select alternate gift card - don't use Simon
3. Make sure your listing data (title/description/details/photos/specs) are new
That should take care of your problem.

1) Sprint IPs are fine (it is a matter of whether you are changing and checking your IPs; Nothing to do with Sprint)
2) Simon gift cards are one of the best cards to use
3) Making your listings different for each account is a good idea but has not been known to cause the 0/00 selling limit.
One of the biggest reasons this 0/00 selling limit happens is because the linked Paypal account is not fully verified. Use a VBA to verify the Paypal account and then turn it into a seller account. Had you been linked you would have got one of the various MC notices.

Always Fully Verify your Paypal Accounts, don't do it half-ass.

3 weeks ago I had an account with 0/0 then I verified with bank account to my pp and...well...got 10/1000 but hey, its a start

I'm gonna be getting some VBA's soon. So should I keep this account and just add a VBA? Hopefully its not dead already. | |

1.) Sprint associated carriers are the absolute WORST to stealth with. I don't know if they recycle the same IPs a lot, or if eBay/Paypal has caught on to their prefixes (most of their IPs begin with the same set of numbers). This has been mentioned before on this forum. Try Cricket instead.
2.) I never used gift cards so I can't really verify if Simon is good or not.
3.) This should be very obvious after reading the Stealth Book.

100% correct.
Short cuts will cause you problems.
Do not use a new account without fully verifying all information first.

I honestly advise everyone to make like 5 to 10 buyer accounts from a university computer or library computer. Even if they just sit for months, years, etc. Register with eBay and deal with the stuff later.
When I get close to making a seller account I register the PayPal just as a buyer and use a Simon Gift card. I then make purchases of small stuff. Iphone cords, cards, etc. So I get like 10 or so buying feedback. Wait a month or so, then upgrade the account as to a seller then verify the PayPal and what not.
I also suggest when you start to sell to buy a tracfone and use that for the phone number. Even if you just get the 10 minutes and 60 days then switch it to a Google voice number later.
Then as always list some household low risk items to get the account started, get good feeds and start building up the account and reputation with eBay/PayPal. It is a long process but I have had a 100% success rate as well as the people I have helped and helped me.
There unfortunately is no way to get on eBay and start selling overnight and expect to stay on.
Also as other say make sure you follow all the musts laid out in the stealth guide.

. | How do you get those iPhone cords to your house or whatevers delivered to you? I just got a ups box for returns on customers but I can't let this message of my ups box go thru the eBay messaging system. They will detect it and link my stealths. Do u email them directly? Are there sellers who know that we just want feedbacks and don't mind emailing then directly to change the delivery address? Thanks
