Activity: 0% Longevity: 68% | | New Ebay Account, Will I have problems? Please help
Here is my situation:
Ran an Ebay account on my mums name and it got banned because I was selling replica sony controllers, Although they didnt tell me that this was the reason, they just said We cant tell you. Even after sending them everything they wanted they still limited me.
Now, I have made a new account on my name.
Because we live in the same place I could not use the same info, So I opened a business account on my other business address. Everything fresh this time.
The problem is i have listed my residential address as my business address. The automatic check didnt go through to remove my recieving limit. So I sent them in my passport photo and a copy of my bank statement on business address. This got accepeted.
The problem is that im limited is 25 items a month with 600 max. I want to have this limit increased asap.
Is it worth phoning them in and having them ask me questions.
Will I be in any kind of problem.
Can they link me back to my old account? I am using a new computer and new ip.

somethings not clear to me
You used your residental address and your business.
is this address the same addess you used for the already limited account ??? i presume not.
how close to you home address or the address of the band account to your business one ??? Because selling same products with your real name close to where you did it before can get you limited, unless you selling different products.
you need all new photos and discriptions.
Bouncing off the limit every month can have result.
If you feel confident enough to ring then go ahead, it could have results but you can also trip yourself up.

What paypal account are you using? IS it the same one you used ont he banned ebay account?
Don't sell the same items you did as before or the same thing will happen again.
Also if you want to increase your limits, the fastest way to do it is to call ebay, but only do this if you have some feedback and selling history on the account.
Personally i would just wait out the 3 months. As i would not call ebay for ANYTHING!

Everything is different. The only thing thats the same is the surname. The items are all different aswell.
None of the old items will be on the ebay. Diffrent paypal address everything.
Even got a new router to change my ip and mac which it did, also bought a new notebook.
Trying my best to make no errors this time.
Just concerned about what there going to ask if I want to get my limits increased because 25 items is nothing.

OP, so many mistakes I am seeing - mums name? counterfeit controllers? And you want limits increased?
1. Learn stealth - stop ruining your family.
2. Counterfeit is not good for longetivity.
3. Not wise to call in so quickly to have limits increased - spend the time you would do on the call by searching the forum for `Limit increasing`or some search term.
All the best.

like i said.....Its not the wisest move to call in but if you feel confident enough and have all your info at hand then do so but there are other options around the fourum so do a search find your options and take your pick.
everyone wants everything yesterday but i find patience is the best corse of action.

hi.
i was reading this thread, im a similar scenario.
i had accounts on my home address under my name which were all suspended and then eventually linked.
Now, after about 5 years since then, i wish to open a new account in which ill be selling legitimate small electronics non branded goods which i have sourced from china.
i plan to do the following
1. open a new bank account on a completely new business address (should i open under my own name or as a business?)
2. get a new credit card on that new business address.
3. new computer, new internet connection, router, change of IP.
Is this ok for me to do? since i will be selling non branded and a very niche market of goods, will i be ok?
If ebay and paypal asks for photo id, i can provide my passport scan, and a credit card statement.
But if ebay or paypal ask for supplier invoices (which i assume they do after a while), can i make a photoshopped invoice with any name on it. (i dont want to give ebay my chinese suppliers info, why should i? nosey assholes).

(i dont want to give ebay my chinese suppliers info, why should i? nosey assholes). | 1. open a new bank account on a completely new business address (should i open under my own name or as a business?) - You don't need to do that just open another account with your current address Eb /PP can't see your name on your bank account or find out the address it's linked to
2. get a new credit card on that new business address. - You don't need the new address, your creating yourself unnecessary work. Sellers on here can provide you with a VCC
3. new computer, new internet connection, router, change of IP. - You don't need a new computer just create a new user on your excising computer, as for your new internet provider YES but I suggest getting a dongle if your using multiple accounts 'small electronics' are risky items especially on a new account, best to build up your new account first Don't create your new account with the same name & details it will be instantly banned, you need to make a stealth account with fictitious details. and Don't send them your passport / credit card bill, they will link you.
Last of all why can't you supply invoices if EB / PP come asking seems there non branded legit items.
All in all sorry but you got this all wrong, my best advice would be to buy the stealth guide & read it until you know it word for word then come back & ask more questions on things your not sure about.
Peace out

You shouldn't really be using the same surname i've discovered it's an easy way to get linked especially if your going to sell the same items. Don't you think it would be better if rather than selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ items you just sold real things? Just you do realise that any report by an ebay member that your items ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and eBay will suspend/limit you again?
But going back to your second point, from what I've seen phoning in yes your account limited if you request further limits (this is what I've read and researched through search on here) although a few i've read have been successful.
Perhaps debately it depends on which rep you get on the day and their mood at ebay, but who knows. Why not build a good reputation and let eBay see that your trustworthy, then you have more chance of getting higher limits?
