Here is a method for getting a free Google Voice account for those outside of USA.
I saw this on another forum, and rather than copy all the info, I'll just give you the link. Haven't tried it out yet.

It works guys, I got my first gv number using the free US number.Thanks sax4.
can anyone confirm how many numbers can you apply for using a single US number? some say up to 8 others say only 1...
