How to open bank of america account?

I am from india.Any possibility to open bank of America account(BOA)? Please let me know if anybody know or ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure if you want to open a domestic US bank account you need an SSN.

Some people here have reported with Passport ( Tourists/Seasonal Workers?).

Can't remember which bank.

I know US banks that cater to Canadian citizens without the SSN. You would have to call selective banks directly and find out about their policies for Indian residents (could be different since Canada and US don't need special visas and such to visit each other).

Also try HSBC - that's a huge international bank with US bank accounts too available.
