can ebay pull up your name with your credit card number?

Don't use a real plastic card, use a VCC and the issue is solved. Real plastic cards do not work with mismatching names.

Credit card terminals, AT MOST identify the NUMBERS in your address and your ZIP code. If eBay wanted to verify the name on the account, they would have to call the credit card issuer. Whether or not they would give eBay the information depends on the issuer.

But the last post is right, why risk it? Use a VCC or a gift card.

To ensure a safer level of security, it is preferable to use a VCC or gift card.

That reduces the chances of info being 'seen' that might damage a stealth account.

They cant pull your name with just a credit card number unless you have very bad activity requiring them to work with governmental agencies to subpoena your info...or warrant for arrest.

In most cases - whether CC or VCC or gift card - pp will ONLY see what information you give them. I have registered real cc`s to stealth accounts without any problems.
