Setting up an e Bay store as a new user, going away next week

Hi,

I'm a new EB user with 20 FB.

I want to set up a store as I can list my products before I away on a trip for 2 weeks.

I want to set the store to on vacation so I can still sell/make money while away and when I come back just sort and post all the items in one go.

Will EB allow this as a new user? Has anyone done similar? Will I still be able to transfer funds from PP as I'll have access to PP but won't be able to dispatch the products until I get back.

I know there are a lot of stupid buyers around, has anyone experienced a buyer leaving neg FB because they didn't read before buying?

Would be a mistake to do this. Ebay buyers do not read notes about sellers being on holiday. If you leave listings active, you can expect negative feedback and open cases.

Best to do nothing until you return from vacation.

The best you could do is schedule all the listings to start say 2 days before you come back from holidays. If you return on Tuesday, you could scheduled all your listings to start on Friday, or at a push Thursday evening. If you return Friday I would go with 2 days and schedule them to start on Wednesday.

Preferable to establish your store and monitor it during its first weeks. That way you can adjust anything that is not to your liking.

Buyers will fail to read the listings.

The reason is simple.

They do not want to see anything but that item they must buy.

They are simple.

Control your store until it is up and running.
