Default Trying to get legit account reinstated...

Still trying to give it a go to get my legit 3 and 7 year old accounts reinstated. After suspension, I stopped paying ebay fees. When I call in about account, they seem to always say you are suspended for non payment, pay your fees and you will be reinstated. But I know this is not true. My account was suspended before the fees were not paid.

Does anyone have any experience with getting anywhere with ebay....getting around the pay your fee to get to the real root of the issue?

I know many will say lost cause, move on. These are old accounts, and legit, although I won't dwell, and waste a lot of time, I must give it an honest attempt.

I had 225/$11,250 selling limits, 4.9/5, 100% fdbk, above average performance and was only 35% of entering tracking within 48 hours to get to top rated seller status. I want to try to work with them on this.

Any advise?

I just found out a pebble more of information. The suspension was due to signature brand name infringement he says.

I wonder, 200+ other's are selling the same brand, so why are they not suspended?

But more importantly, I am a licensed authorized reseller of this brand and can provide documentation to that affect. SO, why the suspension?

Because it is ebay.

Because they control the game.

What type of suspension notice got issued with that infringement notice?

Your case may depend on that.

The suspension was robotic. Meaning they flagged your account for what they believed was VeRO items. Since you mention you can provide documentation, I would go that route and submit all the paperwork you have to prove your case. Ebay should have provided information in the MCXXX email they sent to you on where you can fax the information. Best of luck,

Need to know the actual notice first for the best defense to be submitted.

They just said the invoices were ok, but the brand does not like being sold on ebay.

Um, ok. Why not? The product has to be bought from them to be able to be resold on ebay. They make money....but that aside, why is it ok for 200+ others to sell the brand then but not me? An authorized reseller?

Now I am really confused, LOL>

As Greenbean aptly noted, you need to provide what the actual notice was before the correct guidance can be given. I assumed since you mentioned it was branded item, the notice was VeRO related...please confirm first what the actual notice is so members can assist.

Do not base your selling practices on what others do. This is a bad business model. Those accounts that do it may get taken down soon enough. Focus on resolving this issue.

They finally just told me today, that once they got the invoices, they contacted the company, and the company said they do not like to have their items sold on ebay.

Dear

To help keep our website a safer place for buyers and sellers, your account will be restricted from selling indefinitely.

Our decision is based on evidence from our records. We're not comfortable with your selling practices or business model, and we feel they don't help to promote a positive buying and selling environment.

Even though you can't sell on our website, you can still use your account to buy or bid on items. For more information on the basics of buying, please visit:

Please remember that you can't use other accounts or register new accounts to sell on eBay. If you do, your accounts could be limited, restricted, or suspended.

Thanks,

That solves that. The VeRO company does not want you selling on ebay. They have that right to do that. No way to fight this unless you want to reach out to the VeRO company directly to reconsider, but that has very slim chances of going anywhere.

So you have been told you may not sell an item on ebay with no actual suspension notice been given out?

Is anything in writing? If there is no specific notice, you will have little to no success.

Being an authorized seller does not mean you have the right to sell wherever you choose.

Go back over your authority to sell. Read what may be in the fine print.

I think sometimes people tend to forget ebay is a for profit company. If you owe them money, it's not crazy for them to say "Pay me and then we'll talk."

Of course, that's a gamble you've got to be willing to take. If you pay the fees, will they reinstate the real reason you were suspended? Probably not, if you ask me. Even if you do, you'd be looked at as a person who doesn't pay their fees!

They said when they got the invoices, they called them and asked them can we sell on ebay. THey said no. Do they call every brand in the world? Wouldn't they all say no?

And why not shut down all auctions with that brand then? Why am I lucky?

And why do I bother to ask why? Ebay just sucks all around, no why needed. I hate depending on them for income....they are just a means to an end for me, a way to save money for my true business passion.

I wish they just told me not to sell the brand, shutting me down altogether makes no sense. And I wish I knew of other profitable items to sell :(

why why why i wish i wish i wish...................lol ;-)

I'm not so sure that the suspension was robotic at all. Especially if there are other sellers dealing this same product. It's possible that one of the other sellers complained about you selling the product and suggested your weren't authorized to sell it. Likely one or more of the sellers are affiliated with the company, or the brother-in-law of the CEO, something like that. This is called getting rid of the competition.

Your paper work is in order, you are authorized to deal in this product, and their telling you that the company doesn't like their product sold on ebay, but others are selling it without getting suspended. I smell a rat!

Whatever is going on, the company has a financial interest in keeping you from selling.

If you can come up with another product, you could approach ebay again to see if they will let you sell other stuff and NOT that product. If they say "No," get your lawyer to write them a friendly letter.

Send out few e-mails to eB and get contact of Vero rights owner - see if you can get their authorization. If you can't - don't relist on this account.

If you want - practice with other stealths but not much help is available other than the advice already given

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you had said you were entering made up tracking numbers until you received the real ones?????

If this is something you have done than this is a reason that you tripped up the security software and raised flags and were singled out from the other 200 sellers selling the same item.

Every account is ran different that's why u can't just say ther are 200 other sellers with that product. The trick is to keep under the radar by following all stealth practices and spread your sales out. Your more of a target if your selling a 100 items a month on one account than selling 10 items a month on 10 accounts

It is hard for some people to understand they are in the business of making money too.

And if anyone of us owned ebay we would be doing the same thing. Protecting our backs from people who want to scam you or your members.

Sadly for many people it is all about me, me and me.
