Just got email from EB saying I can pick up at my local store?

Yes I just got an EM from EB saying I can buy on EB, pay for it and pickup the item at my local participating store the same day. Really stepping away from their business model. I guess we should enjoy what we have for as long as we can because I see it quickly fading away.

One of their steps in trying to follow in amazons shadow.

I see the stores trying to pay ebay for basically traffic due to slow sales.

Got the same, they have to keep up with Amazon and integrate into regular commerce now
They keep expanding and can't handle the business they have now

I can't imagine having a brick and mortar and Paypal limits the account and with rent, and every other expense could be a disaster

How sad is that scenario? Problem is we are heading into this oncoming train wreck with no way to stop it. Just another nail in the coffin to mom and pop stores.

Problem could be if stealth account is asked to provide ID for pickup...

I never had a thought to use it. I wonder what the incentive is for the buyer. Especially since have to go get it. Nah, I don't like to go get and that has always been the draw for me to even know about eb. Awesome when you work 50 hours a week and are trying to build your own show car. It was stellar what I found on eb. Didn't sell for a decade.
