Default Can ebay tell what device you are taking photos with?

Can ebay what type of device you are uploading pictures with. For instance a canon camera or iphone as an example?

Yes, if the device records EXIF data. Always strip out EXIF data - there are free programs out there that do this.

Yes they might use this data to link accounts to, but not necc because other ppl might have copied the picture

Can your exif data still be seen if you use auctiva for example to list with?

It is very likely that at some point someone has linked stealths though EXIF data.

Takes 5 seconds to clean it out, so should be no hassle.

I use batchpurifier.

Yes it has been losted in the past that people were linked by pictures.

Just do a large batch at a time and remove exif and you will be fine.

I have taken many thousands of pics and havnt had a problem. Is it possible That this will become more of a problem in the future?.

I have heaps of accounts with the same photos. They may be able to link them if they have a reason to look into one of your accounts, but it's definitely not automated by their system.

Ok, which data from exif do they use?
Serial number? - It's possible if the pics were taken with digital camera.
This field is empty if we use iPhone.

There is not that much unique data to catch.

I would say it's just not worth the risk of not stripping the exif data...better to be safe than sorry
