Trying to Add a bank account to paypal

Hi guys, have set up and ebay and paypal account...trying to add a bank account at the minute but wont let me. Im using a family members details but when i try to add the account its just saying cannot add bank account at this time

Any ideas whats causing this?

Not a good idea to use a family members details.

There is no need.

Which bank's account are you trying to add?

Its a halifax account

Give it 24 hours and try again.

If it is still not adding then phone PayPal to have it manually added.

Just to make sure, this bank account has not ever been added to PayPal before has it?

No mate has never been used before its only a new account. Would it matter that theirs a slight difference with the spelling or that its an online account

So long as the account number and sort code is correct it should add. Lots of problems on PayPal recently when adding bank accounts though.

Give it 24 hours and try again. If it fails to add again give them a ring

Go to the withdraw page and try to add the bank account there. Once added go to the bank accounts section on the settings page and submit the DD mandate. May work doing it that way round.

It's a glitch in PayPal it happens a lot and you need to ring them and have them do it manualy

Same thing guys just saying you cannot add bank at this time :(

If the account has only been open a few days then I'd personally wait at least another 3 or 4 days and try again.

Should you then get the same message call up and get the bank manually added.

Thanks ill try that. Do you have any idea what details they will ask me when i ring to add it just so i have them prepared

Just make sure you have all your stealth details ready.
