Re: Royal Mail International Prices!!!
My biggest issue with international sales has been that if the buyer is a scammer, or legitimately not satisfied, or if they really didn't get their item, then the postage costs alone eat into a few successful orders to get back to profitability. The only thing I ship internationally any more is books, rare and out of print. That category does not attract too many scammers and since my books are in English, mostly they end up shipping to Canada, the UK and Australia (although I HAVE shipped to probably every country in the world at least once) which have decent postal systems.
The only countries I don't like to ship to are the Arabic countries. Not because I have anything against the people, but because their customs people are insane! Here in the US, customs is looking for weapons, drugs, counterfeits and other illegal items. In some of the Arabic countries, they seize items for all kinds of reasons, usually because they don't like the information in the books - you never know exactly what they will have a problem with.
