Buyer opened defected item case with ebay, problem now sorted

Had a buyer open a case saying the item was defected. I responded asking him how i could help. He then replied that its sorted. I only have 2 options in ebay, offer full refund, partial refund or respond to buyer. There is no other option.

I cannot see any cases in the resolution center either in Paypal.

What to do?

The buyer would need to close the case if it is now sorted.

After 30 days the case will be automatically closed

Would it automatically refund the buyer?

If no further action is taken the case just get closed.
