Do USPS really check Ship from address on prepaid labels
I accidentally mailed several packages from the Midwest using my stealth address as the ship from address which is on the east coast. The labels were printed via PP and would have cost me several dollars more had I used the correct ship from address. All of the packages were delivered on time. Obviously this would be a bad idea to do on purpose since your packages could get returned by the post office to your stealth address but does the post office check the ship from address on prepaid labels?

A few here and there have never been a problem for me. There's one guy on here who said postal inspectors were investigating him because he was sending mail out from multiple stealth addresses (from the same physical address) every day.

Just make sure the postage is correct or you wont be getting those items back. I messed up once. Mailed out a 200 dollar item. Wrong weight on shipping and not enough postage and the item was returned Not to me though. To the address I had on my stealth account. Forgot about it. Now I sometimes just cross out the address and write in my own
Re: Do USPS really check Ship from address on prepaid labels
To me what I do 99% on my shipping label,I just go to usps website I just type the name & address of the buyer then name from ebay seller stuff like that and my original house address, so I just type or copy paste the tracking # to the buyer,if return I politely ask the buyer to the (my address) even doesn't match to the eBay Stealth I still get my returns all the time.
Re: Do USPS really check Ship from address on prepaid labels
I took some packages inside the post office and the clerk said "why do these have a different shipped from address (Texas) than from here (Louisiana). I said my partner lives in Texas and I ship some of the items from here. She said "sometimes" it cost more to ship from here so your package could be returned. So I just went into ebay and changed the shipped from zipcode (not the address) and I made up my address on a sheet and just paste over return address on ebay label. No problems for 6 months.

Is is risky to change the entire address to your own address if that address has been on an account that was previously banned?
Re: Do USPS really check Ship from address on prepaid labels
Keep your stealth return address on the label just change the ship from zip code, and all your postage will be correct. The ship from zip use the zip code u are actually shipping from

Man....never knew people had so many issues with the Post Office! Ya'll need to start hooking these employees up. My Mailman = Bottle of Tequila at the end of the Year + Homemade Cookies to eat when he gets high. The ladies at my Post Office = Cookies, a few items from my stock......never had an issue.

But when you buy a stealth account the zip code usually is not anywhere near you.

If anyone ever questioned me I had a reason ready: I run a drop shipping service and the return addresses are clients.
The issue here is the difference in postage, depending on what service u use. Example would be if you use USPS PRIORITY ZONE Shipping, the postage is dependent on where the item is shopped from
You still keep the same visible stealth address printed on the postage you just change the ship from zip code so that you pay the correct postage and the parcel doesn't get returned

Well of course they are. I would never do that. I drop it at the local USPS in Ft. Lauderdale and never had an issue. Even the few times I took stuff to the counter for immediate scanning. Would also depend on how populated an area they were in.
