Default Photos showing up in email.

Last week I list of a few items on one account, this week when a couple did not sell I receive the email from eBay to re list the item. When I looked at the email the photos that I took and posted on ebay were showing up in the email.

Here's the skinny:
I have eBay set to send no images to my email (text only)

I disabled all images in the Gmail account attached to the eBay account.
I have all my Gmail accounts forwarding to a single gmail account and I have images disabled in that account also.

Does anybody know what could be causing this? It only happened on one account, although I believe this is how I lost about 40 accounts almost a year ago,
I open the user account on my computer went straight to that Gmail and double checked, images were in fact disabled as they should be . The images are not showing up on the original gmail address , however they are still showing up on my forwarding Gmail, just this one account for now. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Have a good day everyone!

I have no idea why disabled images are still showing up, unless some setting you have changed in one of your gmail accounts has reverted back to default, allowing images to show up again.

Anyway if you wanted a guaranteed way to avoid images showing up in the future you could have eBay's emails forwarded to your phone via SMS. All major carrier's have a SMS gateway that allows you to receive emails on your phone by sending the email to YOURNUMBER@vtext.com (that is verizons). This probably isn't practical if you're a high volume seller, because you'd be getting dozens of text's per hour. But it's an option. Here's the article:

You say youre forwarding it to a new gmail account. Perhaps it has something to do with that. Are the images on this new gmail also disabled?
By the way - that would probably not be the reason for the suspension because from what I recall gmail downloads the image themselves then passes it on to you which doesnt allow info to be revealed about you or your IP address - since it is their IP address that downloaded the image. BUt I agree - better safe than sorry.

I heard this too about gmail, but I still keep my images disabled. Who knows when some weaselly little troll will find a way to circumvent gmail's protection and start selling it to anyone with cash. Remember back when pop-up blockers actually WORKED? Now, good luck!

Yes the images are disabled in both gmail accounts yet the images came through on the second gmail, but not the original gmail. It was 6 maybe 7 different emails from the same ebay account, keep in mind I also have images disabled on the eBay site itself.

This actually happened to me last week as well.

ALL of my gmail accounts have images disabled yet on 2 accounts, the paypal logo and images DID show up.

I checked the settings and everything was still in tact.

Im wondering if its a glitch or if paypal is forcing it through. Because it was ONLY paypal messages that were shown.

I've been having this for years, all my Gmail addresses forwarding to one master email. It occasionally happens on a small number of accounts. Luckily I don't think this has resulted in any issues
