Advice regarding accounts being suspended for "Inauthentic" when we only sell auth..
We have been successful selling on Amazon for the last 4-5 years, with high volume accounts (usually over $1m per year). Unfortunately we have lost about a dozen accounts during that time, and all for the same reasons - once the accounts get established ( usually 98 to 100% feedback, low to no ODR, low returns and no other infractions, basically perfect standing accounts) inevitably they get suspended around the 2 year mark. Usually happens right around the holidays, but it has happened occasionally during other times as well.
It's extremely frustrating as it's not easy to build high selling accounts with decent feedback. We purchase directly from manufacturers, and sell Brand Name items (Big well known fashion brands).
Suspecting that maybe the competition is responsible for this, as our accounts don't have any issues, and suddenly we get 5-6 accusations of selling inauthentic products, and the accounts go down fast. Usually we appeal, sometimes manage to get the account back with invoices and plan of actions, but within couple months we get few more of the same complaints and AMZ usually pulls the plug forever.
Any ideas on what's going on? Is this normal? How can we avoid this from happening? Again, we personally purchase each product direct, high end products, only authentic, no defects, and offer 100% money back immediately if someone complains about anything. Our customer service is great, however, we do not provide a phone number for phone support as we mostly utilize FBA.
Any advice would be appreciated, love the business but extremely exhausting starting up a new business every year. :(
