Default Can I consistently end bids early?

Hi Guys!

Can ebay frown at me for consistently ending my bids early and selling to the highest bidder?

I have this product that does not always attract much bids, and often times it ends with no bids at all, so I am listing them on an extended time such as 10 days with the hope that someone will place a bid, the first bid is enough for me to make my projected profit on the item so I would like to cut the chase and end the listing as soon as the first bid is received but what I am not sure is if ebay will frown at the practice of ending bids early on a consistent basis.

This is not the best business model. Why don't you experiment with Buy-It-Now + Best offer scenario?

The items are double listed as buy it now with best offer but like we all know, things sell quicker on auction. Even though I could get way more than the price they sold for on auction. At buy it now, it may not sell in 30 days X 2 attimes.

Been known to react poorly, especially in the UK to repeated ending of listings.

As rsot said, consider options.

There you go - also check for time periods when you figure bidding is more popular...peak times
