How to increase selling limits on old existing accounts
Hi Guys,
I have an established Ebay and paypal account with a restriction of 25/£1000.
I am planning on importing goods which will have a total resale value of £25,000, each item selling for around £100.
The PPal account is used constantly for direct debits etc however the Ebay account hasn't been used for a year or so.
The only option I am given to increase the seller limits is to change to a business account and prove a further track record. After speaking to ebay directly they informed me that I need to have a VAT number in order to transfer the account to a business account. After reading this forum I dont believe this to be correct. Advice appreciated.
My other question is if I start selling smaller stuff to get my ebay account back up and running will this be sufficient to increase the limits automatically or will I need to call them every month. Also If I go from selling £10 items to £100 items will this further raise an alarm with further potential limits imposed.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
