 California Unemployment insurance while running side business?
I have a fictitious business name for my part time selling on ebay/amazon/website. I pay taxes on the money I make every year religiously and correctly with no shortcuts. 90% of the accounts are in a different name and the money eventually snakes its way into a bank account in my name. I was recently laid off from my full time job and through them I am eligible for California Unemployment insurance. However my side business, which has a gross income comparable to my previous job, worries me.
I am concerned with how to fill out the paperwork for un-employement benefits. My initial concern and question is how do I get unemployement while running the side business and if they would be able to tell when I made the money?
