Don't banks ask questions?
 

This happened in the UK

I have seen this numerous times. People are advised to create saving accounts on their current accounts so they can make extra PayPal etc etc. Now I assume you guys have large profits (couple of thousands pounds a month) if you need more than one PayPal. Doesn't your bank ask questions about these PayPal withdrawals. After a year of my Ebay sales I had a call from Natwest asking me why do I have so much money going through my account ( I was making less than 3000 pounds a month). But these PayPal withdrawals caught their attention. I told the truth (selling on eBay obviously) but I was stilled asked to visit local branch for a talk after I get better (I was sick at the time). I never went (forgot) but though a lot about it. How common is it? Am I breaking any laws here? How should I act next time? Is there any instructions on how to deal with this and when is it expected?

Sorry I'm still young and recently graduated. I started this when I was a student and it was a success. Just don't want to mess this up

Nothing illegal about withdrawing from a PayPal account to your bank account.

Its very rare for a bank to have an issue with it. The only main banks that I know have an issue with it are Lloyds, TSB and sometimes Halifax.

So long as you don't get the money withdraw into the savings account and then empty the savings account each and every time banks will be happy to just take the money

Natwest just want you to open a business account (or another one). You're under no obligation to do so and they cannot force you too.
