PO Box Requires ID.

I called 4 places to get a postal box ALL of them require 2 forms of photo ID.
So using a real address is the only option for me as I need to accept returns.
I have a couple of friends here but they are both eBay users so using a friends address is no go for me.
Any options/ideas would be appreciated.

So what exactly is your concern here? You simply don't want to use your ID when opening a PO box?
Your ID is kept with high confidence and isn't shared with anyone outside the post office under normal circumstances.

Just a word of advice, if the VeRO owners and law enforcement really want to go after you, they can find you with or without a PO BOX.

If you don't want to use your ID to get an official USPS PO Box, you can go to a UPS store and rent a box there. I hear they're more lax with their regulations. They will let you put "apt #" rather than "box #", etc...

they require 2 forms ID as well. I used my id and my car registration. Don't know how lax they are as even when i opened a second box at same location i had to provide 2 forms of ID again

None of you have employees?? I send an employee to PakMail or UPS Store with my card to pay, and open it up - NEVER had an issue. But I'm also not doing anything that would require that level of anon... if it came down to it I'd go down and register it just fine - I'm just too busy for that stuff sometimes.. Get some loyal employees to work for you. Give them work to do. They'll do it and it's perfectly fine.

Form of ID can be Drivers License or Picture ID, Credit/Debit cards, bills or gov id/ssn/ein - all of which can be purchased from providers if that important but these are all such basic items, if you can't procure them you got some other issues to address business-wise

you claim a UPS store allowed you to open a box with absolutely no identification?

I beg to differ with BiN4RYS final assertion

you know exactly why these n00bs are asking. i just want this poster above to explain how they opened a box at a UPS store with no ID when that's impossible. unless you you have a friend working there who doesn't mind breaking the l.aw.

Re: PO Box Requires ID.

same in UK, all of them need id for years.

Physical ones you go in person with it.

The forwarding ones online need id emailed to them, which I suppose in theory is easy to provide, but because they forward to your real address anyway, they still have a record of you anyway.....

a forumer once told me they think they could pay a hobo to sign up for it..hehe...I thought there were so many things wrong with that idea.........
