Cancelling billing agreement with Ebay

Cancelling billing agreement with Ebay will get your Paypal account limited with no appeal now.

This is new to me and disrupted a great paypal because I no longer wanted the ebay attached. Lesson learned the hard way.

I doubt many of you guys have a reason to do this but if you do, expect any pending withdrawals to be cancelled and Paypal to be limited within 15 minutes.

I actually had to cancel one yesterday because the account was not linking up. The account still has holds and whatnot and running but this is concerning...

Re: Cancelling billing agreement with Ebay

This was a high volume account that just migrated off ebay long ago. Ebay was attempting to collect Store subscription fees for a closed account. I called paypal and they told me to cancel the ebay agreements. Then right after I get the permanent without appeal email and $6700ish in withdrawals cancelled and funds held for 180 days.

When I got a hold of the correct department it was two actions that caused the limitation. Both user agreement cancellations. They did allow me to edit tax information, etc...and refund the payments but the account is toast. They can keep the $5.83 left in the account....and now that EIN is worthless to me. Oh well. Perfect timing at the end of the year.

Is there anything in the new T&C of eBay since the split to hint this might happen?

Not sure. I have to deal with the Unacceptable Usage department via email. They will call if you ask but can tell you nothing or do nothing because it is without appeal.

They just tell me that cancelling those agreements is the reason.
