Considering buying Iphones to sell on

Hello,
I wanted to ask is $427 for a 16gb ipone 3gb a good price.

Thanks

Werfella 03-30-2009 05:59 PM

yeah, if it's the real thing. Chances are 427 will get you an overpriced Ciphone instead. I'm not sure retailers even get it wholesale for that price. Might be a ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Then again, if it's used, that might be a more realistic price. Might wanna make sure and ask him for the serial number (and maybe a pic of it too). Be careful- there are A BUNCH of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ iphones

^^^Is right. I would only be buying from an authorized dealer and not from any auction site.;)

I am about to upgrade my families 3 phones to iPhones.
You know where I am getting mine??????

Either the Apple Store or the AT&T Store.
I am no idiot.

The supplier has good reviews and accepts paypal. He supplied me the serial number.

Agree with HWGA, either purchase from the Apple shop or a cell phone company. Seriously, there are lots of nasties out there. What will you do if there is a problem? These phones are easily copied iincluding serial numbers

If I purchase from a store what profit is there to be made. I am here to buy these at wholesale prices.

^^^^^^
I wish you good luck finding VALID AUTHENTIC iPhones that are at wholesale prices.

Check back in and let me know how long the eBay account you are selling on stays valid.
I see a big red NARU in your future.

Then your post is ambiguous. It inferred you were thinking of buying a phone for yourself, not as for profit-making. Still much the same, Iphones are a difficult niche. Known to raise flags with ebay/paypal and there can be the problem of their authenticity.

Thread title changed & moved to allow better discussion.

I hate to say it but the chances of finding a iPhone for under $600 is tough. If it costs less than that, more than likely it is definitely not an iPhone.

doughboykilla 03-30-2009 11:28 PM

 CiPhones thats a good one. CiPod :bounce: Do these knock offs even work i wonder.

yaw1800 03-31-2009 12:12 PM

wholesale might be a problem, but you can always try craigslist ((im not sure if they have this in canada though)) .. i used to do this with sidekicks

Your profit margin probably wont be too great though

Burning 03-31-2009 02:07 PM

Hmmm... I'm not sure if I should purchase it. I will probably purchase a sample. Is selling iphones on ebay a problem. The profit margin looks very good, about $100 after ebay and paypal fees. They have cragslist in Canada.

ooo, Also the guy sells video game consoles. He accepts paypal so that is not a problem. I can always open a dispute. Paypal usually go on the buyers side.

doesn't sound good

sounds like chinese crap

JamesYaBaoy 03-31-2009 08:02 PM

Bottom Line:

If you dont have SERIOUS capital dont expect to find a good deal on iPhones.

Werfella 04-18-2009 01:03 AM

^^^ TRUTH

...and yes, some Ciphones work well. they just don't have wifi and aren't able to use the app store/itunes. Basically 99.98% less cooler than the real deal. I've got a real one and I love it! seriously one of my favorite tech purchases. (and I bought it from the Apple Store).
